Preventing Terrorism and Extremism Through Community Engagement

A students’ representative of Manarat International University along withe their Faculty member Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of CGED participated in a seminar on “Preventing Terrorism and Extremism Through Community Engagement” at BRAC University Auditorium today. The program was organized by Anti Terrorism Unit of Bangladesh Police in collaboration with Community Development for Peace. US Ambassador, Australian High commissioner, British Deputy High Commissioner, Vice Chancellor of BRAC University, Additional IGP, DIG, SP, Additional SP, several other police officers, DGFI high officials, professors, representatives of different universities and organizations participated in the program. The main focus was to reduce terrorism and violence from the society by creating awareness among the mass people. The students of our country will play vital role in this regard.
