US-Bangladesh Students’ Cultural Exchange Program

The Center of General Education of Manarat International University arranged a seminar on “Cultural Exchange Program: Students from Bangladesh and USA” Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Cordova Seminar Room of MIU.  Eleven delegates from USA participated in the seminar and discussion meeting.  Professor Choudhury Mahmood Hasan, Honorable Vice Chancellor of MIU, spoke as the chief guest in the program. Professor C.M. Hasan says that it is our great pleasure to get USA students among us for cultural exchange program.   I believe both countries’ students will be benefited from this program.  He also says that moral degradation is prevailing all over the world. All the religious teachings are excellent but we failed to understand it properly or it has been misinterpreted. We have to uphold the family system which is breaking day by day in the modern world and bring lots of problems in the society. John Boyle of the Liberty University, Sarah Betsch of the University of Northern Colorado spoke on the USA side and expressed their gratitude to MIU for arranging such a wonderful program.  They said that the Bangladeshi people are very friendly, hospitable and generous.  After the seminar the students of the both countries are involved in the discussion in a few small groups to exchange their views.  For special amusement the students of the both countries sang a few songs.  The program was conducted by Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Center of General Education. Mr.Md. Mahbub Alom, Assistant Professor of Marketing, Dr. Ayub Md. Ibrahim, Assistant Professor of GED, Dr. Muhammad Obaidullah Assistant Professor of GED, Deputy Director of PR and SA, Abdul Matin were present in the occasion.
